Tonight i’ve done a research from every resource, my experience, friends and internet. Its about Internet connection in bali. So many question, only few answer…on many different website. So i create a new category, Internet Access Option, lets start with Bali.
It is Basic, the answer for question, whats internet access option that available in Bali?

To connect with Telkomnet, you need computer/laptop, fixed line telephone, and dial up modem (average price Rp. 30.000 – Rp. 250.000).

Indosat m2 Dial Up
same with telkomnet instant, speed only 56Kbps.
cost is Rp.2.820/hour exclude phone cost (phone cost rate is Rp.6.000/hour)

Mobile Access
Indosat 3.5G HSDPA
its faster than Speedy, in my experience speed up to 1.4Mbps, maybe more…

This is internet connection using wireless GPRS technology. We need GPRS modem, or cell phone with GPRS support. Price costs are Rp. 300.000 – Rp. 400.000 (depend on internet service provider). This package unlimited internet access. You can use every time and everywhere in XL GPRS coverage area.
My suggestion, forget it! its slow and unstable.
