From this beginning the establishment of the Kawah Putih sulfur plant called in the Dutch: White Zwavel Ontgining crater. In the Japanese era, this factory efforts continued with the title Kawah Putih kenzanka Ciwidey Yokoya, and directly under military supervision.
Kawah Putih continued to grow with a mystery story, the residents still believe that it is the abode of the ancestors of the guard by a “Kuncen” the man who guard that place named Abah Karna who live in Kampung Pasir Hoe, Village Sugih Mukti, and he is 105-year-old now.
